EVERYTHING FEEDS INTO EVERYTHING ELSE

My sketchbook is where I explore, observe and make connections. A doodle, a brush experiment, something noticed on a walk or a piece of reference gathered for another project can all find its way into the work somewhere down the line.

Some ideas become finished illustrations;

others simply contribute a shape, texture, character or way of seeing something to my visual vocabulary.

I don't always know where an idea will lead and

that's part of the enjoyment.
